Museum of Grigne Esino Lario

Contains a collection of natural history (fossils, minerals, dioramas of animals and a butterfly collection), archaeological and ethno-anthropological material with a reconstruction of a "Casel ", the typical hut of Maggengo. It is the first local museum in the province of Como, started by parish priest Giovanni Battista Rocca in the 1930’s. Around 1936 the priest collected numerous archaeological objects and saved them in the mortuary chapel of an abandoned cemetery. In 2012 the collection was moved to the first floor of Villa Clotilde.
