San Giovanni Battista Brenzio Like
The pastoral visit made by Bishop Ninguarda in the late sixteenth century to Brenzio resulted in this church dedicated to St. John the Baptist. At the time there were 450 parishioners. Within St. John the Baptist is the Oratory of St. Joseph. By decree of November 10, 1964 the bishop Felice Bonomini the parish of St. John the Baptist Brenzio was united "aeque principaliter" to the parish of San Giuliano di Stazzona. During the twentieth century the parish of St. John the Baptist Brenzio has always been included in the vicariate of Dongo until the decree January 29, 1968, after which it was assigned to the pastoral zone IX of the Three Parishes and the vicariate of Dongo; with the Decree of 10 April 1984, it was included in the vicarage at the Three Parishes. In 1986, the parish of St. John the Baptist was merged with that of San Giuliano di Stazzona in the new parish of Saints John the Baptist Giuliano and Stazzona.
