In Muronico, where Val d’Intelvi opens above Lake Como, “La Brea" re-opens, under the same management that originally established its name far and wide. The name “La Brea" is a reference to the local peasant tradition: in the dialect of Val d’Intelvi it means “pannier", the basket worn over the shoulder for carrying hay.
