Piani d’Erna Cable Car Lecco Like
The Erna Piani is a mountain resort at 1375m in the territory of Lecco, overhung by Monte Resegone and reached by a cable car, recently modernized, running from Malnago. The cable car was built in 1965 and the town began to be a destination for hikers in summer and skiers during the winter. In the nineties, however, with decrease in snowfall keeping the ski resort became difficult and limited to just a few weeks per season. After experiencing decades of wear and tear, he cable car, was completely renovated, in the summer of 2008.
Piani d’Erna Cable Car: Description
The area provides many opportunities for hiking, a breathtaking view, mountain cabins and stops for food and drink. There is also an adventure park for tarzaning, tree climbing, Tibetan bridges, fun activities for everyone amid the unspoiled vegetation. During the winter season, however, the snow covers everything allowing absolute fun to slope downhill with bobs and sleds and for snowshoe hikes. The cableway departure can easily be reached by car or by public transport (bus number 5 from the city center).
