Pescarenico Lecco Like
In the seventeenth century the inhabitants of this village near Lecco were granted the right to fish in the river Adda. Fishing boats were pulled up on dry land when done with their day’s catch and when combined with the small fisherman homes became a picturesque representation of the area. Pescarenico has become renown in literature as the only place in Lecco specifically mentioned in Manzoni’s famous work “The Betrothed”.
