Nesso Orrido Nesso Like
Nesso is a picturesque village on the eastern shore of the Como branch of Lake Como, at the mouth of the valley to the lake. Here, in the hamlet Coatesa, there is the Orrida of Nessus, a deep and picturesque gorge located at the mouth of the valleys of the FCA and Nosè; the ravine is formed by two streams that come together become a beautiful thunderous waterfall. The show can be seen from the main road 583 "Lariana" , or going down to the lake with characteristic steps (over 340 steps) flanked by houses and an ancient Roman bridge that connects the two banks of the river. A broadwalk made of concrete allows tourists to admire the beauty of this unique place.
