Designed by local architect Giuseppe Bovara and inaugurated in 1844 with a performance of “Anna Bolena" by Gaetano Donizzetti. The theatre has a typical Neoclassical style and was built by the will of some Lecco’s families, being part of the nobility and upper middle class, but it was immediately open to all the citizens. Inside is a beautiful fresco on the vault by contemporary artist Orlando Sora. Be sure to review the current schedule and catch a show.
