The appartment contains a double room with simple but romantic furniture, a wrought-iron bed, parquet flooring, oak-beams and a big private bathroom with a shower. Our guests have a separate entrance, a living room with a kitchen and a sunny balcony which looks onto the lake. Both the living room/kitchen and bedroom have air conditioning. While we were renovating our flat, we decided to reserve part of it for the disposal of future guests in order that others could share the beautiful view and its optimum position with us. Situated directly infront of the lake, beside the famous 'Viale Geno' promenade, the building was originally a silk mill- one of many in Como in the eighteenth century. Indeed, the name 'La Filanda' relates to the machinery used for spinning silk in the mills.
