The name “La Brea" is a reference to the local peasant tradition: in the dialect of Val d’Intelvi it means “pannier", the basket worn over the shoulder for carrying hay. A jasmine-covered tunnel leads to the garden, which is on three different levels in an environment enclosed by the vegetation offering a secluded tranquil atmosphere at all times.
