The Hotel Du Lac is a romantic villa covered with flowers, right on the lakefront in the medieval part of Varenna. It was built in 1823 and transformed into a hotel in the middle of the twentieth century. The renovation has preserved the old charm right down to every detail, the material and colour. It's old name is "Casetta Teodolinda" because it is said that the Lombard Queen used to come here to rest during the summer season.
