Giant Wine Press (Il Torchio) Faggeto Lario Like
In the centre of the ancient village Palanzo, situated in the hills and part of the commune of Faggeto Lario, there is an enormous wine press of the 17th century. It is made to work during the annual feast called Sagra del Torchio in October. It was made from the trunk of a single chestnut tree, 12 meters long and with a circumference of 3 meters. The press has been declared a national monument thanks to these exceptional characteristics as well as the good state of its condition.
