Crespi d’Adda (Day Trip) Capriate San Gervasio Like
Crespi d’Adda workers’ village is a UNESCO site: a modern vision of the ideal city built around the life of local manufacturing companies and the family. It is an outstanding example of a type of a working class village developed between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. These workers’ village were present in Europe and North America and Crespi d’Adda is the most complete and best preserved in Southern Europe. The site is still remarkably intact and is partly used for industrial purposes, although changing economic and social conditions now threaten its survival.
