Andreani Family Tombs Dervio Like
Three tombs belonging to the aristocratic Andreani Family located outside the Church of St Thomas of Beckett and a castle belonging to the same family. The monuments, know as “arks” are important evidence of Lombardy sculpture that were erected between 1325 and 1371. The oldest, to the right of the church door has been decorated with stripes in two different colours while the one to the left is more lavish with pillars graced by lions. The third tomb was originally contained within the church and only moved outside in 1870—hence its better preserved state.
