About Griante Cadenabbia

Griante belongs to the “coast of Azaleas”,caracterized by a mild climate and by a lush vegetation thanks to the vicinity of the lake. Small village of about 600 inhabitants is situated on the hill and therefore away from the traffic but in the same time allows to reach the lake shore rapidly, from wich is about 600 mt. Located in the 'center' of the lake, facing the Bellagio promontory, some 30 kilometers north of Como. It has been visited by many historical celebrities including Verdi, who wrote part of his famous La Traviata opera here. It continues to be a large tourist draw for the annual blossoming of Azaleas.

Along the lake promenade in the hamlet of Cadenabbia you can find the bus stop, the boat landing stage for ferries and boats, the pubblic beach Al puunt with its kiosk and the swimming pool with snack bar. To the mountain side you can find itineraries suc as the natural park of San Martino, from where you can have a beautiful panorama, or the small village of Rogaro that links trough baypasses the village of Griante with Tremezzo, Mezzegra and Lenno.
